Participating in the 2006 All Hands Meeting

Please note the submission deadline has been extended to the 8th May 2006.

Please carefully read the notes below before proceeding to the submission pages. They are different from previous years - in particular, full papers, rather than abstracts, are required for review, but the deadline is one month later (1 st May).

There are several options for participation:

• Regular paper. These will be presented in a parallel session, with 25 minutes allocated to each paper. Each paper can be up to 8 pages in length and formatted as described here. Full papers (not abstracts) should be submitted. The deadline is the 8th May 2006.
• Presentation in a mini-workshop (25 mins). The mini-workshops are sessions organised by individuals to bring together a number of presenters for a particular theme. If you wish to propose and run a mini-workshop then please follow the instructions here (the deadline is 20 th February 2006). The proposals will be reviewed and up to ten selected. There will then be a call for papers for those workshops (published 1 st March 2006) with the same format and deadline as for regular papers (8th May 2006).
• Poster Presentation. There will be a poster session where colleagues will have the opportunity to explain projects to the conference delegates. Please submit up to four pages for review as described here by the 1 st May deadline.
• Birds-of-a-Feather. Up to five, two-hour Birds-of-a-Feather sessions will be organised. These are sessions that do not have the normal session format; for example tutorials, panel sessions, discussions etc. If you wish to organise one of these then please submit a 2 page summary describing the aims, schedule and intended audience by 1 st April 2006.

A full review process will be managed by the AHM Programme Committee.

There will be a proceedings for the conference, which will be provided in CD format with an ISBN number. As in previous years we are aiming to have the best papers published in special issues of at least one journal. This year, for the first time, the Programme Committee will present a best paper award, and that paper will be presented in a plenary session. There will also be a Best Student Paper award. For a paper to qualify, it must have a student as the lead author, and the PC chair must be e-mailed to inform him of this once the paper has been submitted. This paper will also be presented in a plenary session.
