Travel Information The Appleton Tower and Informatics Forum are located near the George Square area of Edinburgh University. This is approx. 20 minutes walk from Edinburgh Waverley rail station and from St Andrews Square bus station.

By Taxi It is approximately 20 minutes by taxi from Edinburgh airport (40 minutes by bus). If taking a taxi from Waverley station it is worth noting that only certain taxi companies are allowed to pick up from within the station, so if there's a long queue it's probably worth walking out onto the main road. Edinburgh taxis are all black cabs. Taxis are regulated by the City authorities and are able to provide quotations prior to booking and expense receipts.

Parking Parking is very limited around the central University Area. Some Pay and Display short-stay parking can be found at George Square and Buccleuch Place.
