All Hands Meeting 2009

« Past, Present and Future »

It is important that the AHM reflects the interests and research of the whole community and welcome any contribution across this broad cross-section of activities.  In order to provide some structure to the meeting we would like to introduce a number of themes and ask that you submit your papers to one of them:

  • Theme 1: e- Social Sciences
  • Theme 2: Medical and Biological Sciences
  • Theme 3: Physical and Engineering Sciences
  • Theme 4: Environmental and Earth Sciences
  • Theme 5: Sharing and Collaboration
  • Theme 6: Distributed and High Performance Computing Technologies
  • Theme 7: Data and Information Management
  • Theme 8: User Engagement
  • Theme 9: Foundations of e-Science

This year, we would especially like to encourage industry collaborators to take a full part in the conference, including contributing to papers.

We will also be introducing the Tony Hey prize for the best student paper, named in honour of the outstanding contribution Tony has made to UK e-Science.   This competition is open to any UK student. The prize winner will be asked to present the paper in a special session. Further details will be available soon. Our challenge this year is to showcase the past and provide a spring board into the future and we are sure that with your contributions we can achieve this.

As well as the vibrant research agenda the meeting will offer the opportunity to meet socially with colleagues in the Oxford’s beautiful University venues.

We look forward to seeing you in Oxford in December!
