Papers for Phil. Trans. R. Soc A The deadline for submitting full papers to Philosophical Transactions A is Monday September 1st 2008 (23:59 BST). This applies to authors who were shortlisted from the abstracts submitted to AHM2008.

You can submit your paper simply by emailing it to l.valkonen@nesc.ac.uk. In the event that your paper is too large to be sent this way, please either send a link from which to download the paper or contact me to arrange an alternative method.

Please remember that the maximum paper length is 10 pages. For guidance, approximately 640 words or two figures will fit a journal page. AHM Earlybird Registration Extended Earlybird registration has been extended to the 31st July. Those registering after the deadline will incur a £50 penalty and will not be able to book accommodation via the registration pages. published on 10 Jul 08

AHM 2008 Registration Open Registration is now available for the UK e-Science All Hands Meeting 2008. This years Conference fee is £120 (free for students). Deadline Extended The deadline for submissions for this years UK e-Science All Hands Conference has been extended by two weeks to the 15th May. AHM 2008 Call for Papers The overall theme for this year’s UK e-Science AHM is Crossing Boundaries. Key papers from the meeting will be published in two back to back editions of Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A in the early part of 2009. There will also be opportunities to present your work and ideas in a 20 minute presentation. Proposers are being asked to submit abstracts. The deadline for submission is the 1st May 2008. Call for papers for the International Journal of Digital Earth to be launched in 2008. The International Society for Digital Earth in cooperation with Taylor & Francis, the oldest publisher of scientific journals in the world, will launch of new journal called International Journal of Digital Earth (IJDE) in 2008. Virtual Globes Visualise the Earth's Environment An environmental scientist has won an award for showing how virtual globes, such as Google Earth, can be used to visualise complex scientific data and reveal new insights into environmental processes.
